The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence, The Positive Place For Kids, is dedicated to the mission of inspiring and enabling the young people of North Providence, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

• Encourages cultural strengths
• Uses mentors
• Gives girls time to speak out
• Helps girls to develop trusting relationships with other girls and women
• Educates girls about their own health, including mental health, nutrition and healthy sexuality
• Allows girls a voice in program design
• Provides community service
• Interrelates with schools, educators, and a (K-16) school curriculum

Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for youth, ages 6 to 18, by providing structured programs that offer knowledge and experience in education, career and social development, vocational training, leadership skills, and personal health and fitness. Our five Clubs offer these services, in a safe place, with nurturing staff and dedicated volunteers. Girls programs vary by Club.
