Elizabeth Buffum Chace House is a 24-hour shelter for abused women and their children that offers educational programs.

• Encourages cultural strengths
• Uses mentors
• Gives girls time to speak out
• Helps girls to develop trusting relationships with other girls and women
• Educates girls about their own health, including mental health, nutrition and healthy sexuality
• Allows girls a voice in program design
• Provides community service
• Interrelates with schools, educators, and a (K-16) school curriculum

We offer a psycho-educational group for girls at the junior and high school levels. This group educates girls about healthy and unhealthy relationships, anger, body image, and self-esteem. The girls help establish rules, topics, and program format. This group gives girls a space to learn about and share issues that impact them directly.
