Planned Parenthood sponsors a peer educator program for high school ages students (ages 13 to 17). Trainings are conducted once a year during the summer. The 40-hour training covers a range of topics including: the female and male reproductive systems, healthy communications and healthy relationships, and pregnancy prevention. Once peers complete their training, they assist Planned Parenthood staff at the Teen Health Center. The peer educators also assist the education staff with conducting workshops for community organizations.
