The mission of the Sexual Assault & Trauma Resource Center of RI is to reduce the trauma and prevalence of sexual abuse and violence.

• Gives girls time to speak out
• Helps girls to develop trusting relationships with other girls and women
• Educates girls about their own health, including mental health, nutrition and healthy sexuality
• Interrelates with schools, educators, and a (K-16) school curriculum

SATRC offers programs on abuse awareness, prevention, and intervention for children ages 4-18, as well as for parents, teachers, and other adults. We believe that a well-educated community is the first step in the prevention of abuse and violence. School-based and community programs include topics such as: sexual abuse/assault, identifying and responding to abuse, bullying and peer problems, flirting verses sexual harassment and date rape/date rape drugs. Programs can be tailored to meet specific needs.
